Description
Long before Ye teamed up with adidas and transformed the sneaker market, the Chicago rapper collaborated with Nike until 2013. From this collaboration was born the mythical Nike Air Yeezy 1, one of whose first colorways, the “Zen Grey”, was launched in April 2009.
This basketball-influenced high-top silhouette, avant-garde for its time, features a suede and perforated leather upper in gray tones. It features a strap and mudguard adorned with “Y” motifs. Bright touches of color, such as the orange-yellow lining, matching lace lock and bright pink tongue cuff, add a vibrant touch. A cut-out swoosh, white midsole with visible Air-Sole unit, and glow-in-the-dark outsole complete the unique design of this pair.
