The starting point is a childhood memory: an old navy blue Nike tracksuit that Simon Porte Jacquemus wore in the South of France. Everything else follows from that. Fine stripes, blue, white, red, and zero graphic overload.
The capsule is part of Nike's X2 program, which brought together seven designers with seven federations before the 2026 World Cup: NOCTA for Canada, Palace for England, Patta for the Netherlands, Jacquemus for France. The principle of the Cryoshot is simple: take a legendary cleat and encase its studded sole in a translucent shell to make it wearable for everyday life. Jacquemus chose the Tiempo R10, the shoe designed for Ronaldinho in the mid-2000s. White leather, white Swoosh, flat laces, discreet branding, and small touches of Sport Royal and University Red slipped into the sole as a nod to the tricolor. Brazil meets France, without an extra word.
Nike Moon Shoe SP: the finest retro from the Nike x Jacquemus collab
1972. Bill Bowerman handcrafts a running shoe whose waffle sole leaves crater-like imprints on the track of the American Olympic trials. This is the Moon Shoe. Simon Porte Jacquemus rediscovered it while visiting the Nike archives and presented it reinterpreted at his Spring 2025 fashion show in Paris: no one had touched it before him.
The result is a running ballet flat. Gathered nylon, full-grain leather, leather Swoosh, reinforced heel counter, Jacquemus branding on the tongue, heel, and insole. The box even reuses the Blue Ribbon Sports identity, Nike's name before Nike. For styling, the pre-match jersey works with baggy jeans and a cap, with nothing else added. The track jacket pairs well with cargo pants and high socks.
