Converse: a symbol of timeless style
The Converse brand is much more than just a shoe company. Founded in 1908 in Malden, Massachusetts, by Marquis Mills Converse, it quickly established itself as a must-have in the world of sneakers. Its creation marked the beginning of a fascinating history blending sport, culture, and urban fashion.
The brand's first iconic model, the Converse All Star, was created in 1917. At the time, it was a sports shoe designed for basketball, recognizable by its rubber sole and durable canvas. But it was thanks to the player Chuck Taylor, who joined the company in 1921, that the brand took on a new dimension. His dedication and advice in the design of the model inspired the birth of the legendary Chuck Taylor All Star in 1932.
Since then, the Converse All Star has become a true style icon. Worn by athletes, artists, musicians, and fashion enthusiasts worldwide, this pair embodies freedom and personal expression. Decades later, it continues to transcend generations without ever losing its timeless charm.
At The Last Step, we celebrate this legend through a comprehensive selection of Converse models. From classic Chuck Taylors to new revisited editions, each pair showcases unique craftsmanship and universal style.
Converse All Star: the legendary sneaker that transcends decades
The Converse All Star is much more than a sneaker; it's an integral part of streetwear culture. Born on sports courts, it has made its way into the streets, concert halls, and fashion runways. Its instantly recognizable silhouette, white rubber sole, and famous ankle star make it a timeless shoe.
This iconic model has evolved over the decades to meet everyone's needs. High-top, low-top, canvas, or leather versions come in an infinite array of colors and styles. The Converse All Star remains true to its original design while adapting to current trends.
At The Last Step, we offer varied collections of Converse All Star for men, women, and children. You'll find classic models as well as limited editions and exclusive collaborations. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star: the legacy of a player turned legend
The Chuck Taylor All Star gets its name from the American basketball player who helped make Converse a legendary brand. Thanks to Chuck Taylor, the shoe gained in comfort and performance. His signature affixed to the ankle patch in 1932 made it a true icon.
Over time, the Chuck Taylor All Star has become a symbol of freedom, expression, and authenticity. Music stars like James Dean, Kurt Cobain, and members of punk and rock bands have made this shoe a central element of their look.
Today, the Chuck Taylor continues to appeal to sneaker enthusiasts, men and women, for its minimalist design and vintage spirit. In canvas, leather, with reinforced soles or original prints, each model tells a story.
At The Last Step, we believe that each pair of Chuck Taylor All Star has a unique effect on your style. Whether you wear it for a city outing, a concert, or simply to assert your personality, it adapts to all outfits and all seasons.
