Adidas Handball Spezial Loafer "Wonder White" takes the 1979 handball shoe and removes its laces. The concept is simple. The result, far less so: a low-profile, sleek loafer that retains everything that makes the Handball Spezial (the gum sole, the T-toe overlay, the three stripes) and elevates it to a dressier wardrobe.
The Wonder White colorway plays with tone-on-tone: a very fine brushed cream-colored suede across the entire upper, leather three stripes in the same shade, and the gold Spezial lettering on the side. Below, the gum sole provides the only real break in color. Its design comes from indoor courts; today, it grips the pavement without a second thought.
This is a feminine pair designed for the in-between: sportier than a classic loafer, dressier than a lace-up sneaker. Wide-leg trousers, midi skirts, straight jeans with an exposed ankle—the cream shade goes with just about everything. adidas Originals introduced this loafer in early 2026 alongside the Magic Beige and Black versions, bridging the sport DNA of the Spezial with the codes of the traditional loafer. Frankly, it’s the easiest version to incorporate into a closet already filled with Sambas.
