Adidas Karintha x Wales Bonner Low "Satin Black" is the first original silhouette born from the collaboration between Grace Wales Bonner and adidas, following years of reworking the Samba, the SL72, and the Japan. The Karintha has a low, slightly pointed shape that the designer pulled from the adidas archives of the 1970s. It was first shown in a sequined version in the spring of 2025. This satin iteration arrives with the autumn-winter collection.
The upper is made of black satin, stretched over a slender form. The 3-Stripes are crafted with woven textile details on the sides, a detail carried over from the sequined version. The official colorway is Core Black / Dark Brown / Crew White: black almost everywhere, a dark brown on the finishes, and a touch of off-white. The Wales Bonner co-branding appears on the tongue label and on the side.
The result is closer to a dress shoe than a sports shoe. It can be worn with pleated trousers, straight-leg jeans, or wool shorts, in the spirit of the designer's fashion shows where sportswear meets tailoring.
Sizing: the shape is narrow. A half size up is recommended for a wide or thick foot.
