The Air Jordan 4 "Rare Air" Tour Yellow resurrects a ghost from 2006. At the time, this edition was released in Jordan Brand's LS series with an idea that made a lasting impression: removable patches on the tongue, allowing you to alternate the Jumpman Flight logo as desired. Twenty years later, the Rare Air line brings this system back into fashion, playful detail included.
The base uses the original recipe. Premium white leather throughout the upper, black finishes on the inserts and the signature wings of the Air Jordan 4, then a speckled midsole that lets hints of Tour Yellow run down to the heel. The contrast still works just as well (some colorways age poorly, this one does not). Mesh panels on the sides complete a silhouette designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1989, which has never really left the streets since.
This re-release appeals as much to long-time nostalgic fans as it does to a generation discovering the pair through archives. A white AJ4 remains a safe bet in a rotation, and this version adds the weight of a comeback awaited for two decades. Scheduled for release in autumn 2026, in quantities that won't last long.
