Jordan 9 Retro OG Space Jam returns thirty years after the film. The Air Jordan 9 is the 1993 model, the first designed while Michael Jordan had left basketball for baseball, featuring a smooth leather upper, lacing hidden under a flap, and a sole marked with words in multiple languages. The white, black, and red colorway gets its nickname from Space Jam, the 1996 film in which Jordan wears the pair.
This OG reissue retains the original construction: white leather on the upper, black nubuck on the heel and collar, red Jumpman, and a black and red sole. According to industry press, this release coincides with the film's thirtieth anniversary, a connection that Jordan Brand has not officially commented on.
