New Balance 1906L Olive Khaki continues to explore the sneaker-loafer silhouette in a distinctly autumnal direction. Released on July 30, 2025, alongside the Beige version, this 1906L iteration adopts an earthy palette perfectly suited for mid-season rotation. The model, designed by Charlotte Lee in 2024 and brought into the spotlight by the Junya Watanabe x New Balance collaboration for Paris Fashion Week, continues to explore the hybrid territory between loafer and technical runner.
The Olive Khaki colorway plays on a natural gradient. An open-mesh khaki base, perfectly breathable, covered with premium brown suede overlays, inherited from the 1906R, on the forefoot and quarter. The TPU cage at the heel adopts a more pronounced olive gradient, while a green leather lining subtly borders the collar of the slipper. The outsole blends dark green and black, in a tonal logic assumed all the way to the ground.
Technically, the 1906L retains the DNA of the 1906R model: ABZORB SBS cushioning in the heel, N-ergy in the midsole borrowed from the 860v2, Ndurance rubber outsole. The slip-on replaces laces without sacrificing support, thanks to a moccasin saddle and an elasticated collar.
A sneaker for those who want a piece that steps off the classic sneaker path, without resorting to disguise. Wear it with brown chinos, wide-leg wool trousers, or raw ecru denim to stay within the autumn palette. The kind of pair that transforms a simple outfit into a stylistic statement.
