Nike Air Foamposite Pro Voltage (2026) marks the most anticipated return in the silhouette's recent history. Released on May 8, 2026, for the first time since its original launch in 1997, this Foamposite Pro marks the very first authentic retro of the Voltage colorway, one of the most iconic in the Foamposite saga. For nearly 30 years, purists have waited for it. For nearly 30 years, the colorway only lived through collectors' conversations and a few decomposing archival pairs. Nike has finally lifted the veil, in line with the retro strategy that has revived the Foamposite since 2024.
The Black Voltage Yellow colorway fully embraces the radical visual identity of the original model. The molded Black polyurethane shell covers almost the entire silhouette, creating the armor effect that makes the Foamposite so technically unique. The Voltage Yellow, an electric neon yellow leaning slightly towards acid green, accents the oversized lateral Swoosh, the tongue and heel pull-tabs, in a strategic splash designed to immediately catch the eye. The black nubuck lacing panel, black mesh tongue, and black padded collar complete the monochrome palette. The smoke rubber outsole extends the dark aesthetic to the ground.
In terms of construction, the Foamposite Pro retains its 1997 innovation designed by Eric Avar: a liquid-molded shell made by injecting liquid polyurethane into a mold, hardened under a heat lamp. A rigid but flexible armor that conforms to the foot over time, in a way no other silhouette has ever been able to replicate. Zoom Air cushioning in the front and back, carbon fiber composite shank for lateral rigidity.
