Nike Ja 3 Twelve Time pays tribute to Twelve Time, the AAU program that Ja Morant founded in South Carolina to support young players. The name comes from his number, 12, and a whole chapter of his history is reflected on this Ja 3.
The mesh upper is a faded turquoise, almost powder blue, extending down to the sole. The Swooshes are mismatched: orange outlined in purple on the lateral side, and horizontal and purple on the medial side. The Twelve Time logo appears in purple on the tongue, mounted like a badge, and is repeated on the heel. The insoles also alternate the team branding.
The hidden phrases are Morant's own: "Bucket in the backyard or bucket in the league" and "A bucket is a bucket." The palette is bold, joyful, and tells a story. A Ja 3 for those who follow the player beyond the highlights. It has the same technical base as other Ja 3s, so nothing changes in terms of play, but the story behind it gives it another dimension.
