Nike Kobe 5 Protro Dodgers continues what Nike Basketball and the Kobe Bryant estate started in 2025 with the Kobe 6 Dodgers: celebrating the bond between Kobe, Los Angeles, and the city's baseball team.
The palette is that of the Dodgers, without any visible team logo. A bold Rush Blue on the upper, a Wolf Grey Swoosh bordered in white, and a white Sheath logo on the tongue. The standout detail: red stitching on the heel, which evokes (to our eyes, as well as those of the sneaker press) the seams of a baseball. The support panels and eyelets feature a scale texture. Early samples featured a photo of Kobe from his final visit to Dodger Stadium in October 2018 on the insole; the retail version keeps a white printed Sheath logo instead.
The Kobe 5 Protro remains a low-top, responsive shoe built for the game. Released via SNKRS and Nike Basketball retailers, in unisex sizing. For Kobe fans and LA enthusiasts alike, it checks every box.
