Puma Speedcat OG New Navy Warm White brings back the Puma racing shoe in a combination that has always worked in motorsport: navy blue and white. Born in 1999 for Formula 1 drivers (the first versions were leather boots with fireproof lining), the Speedcat transitioned to lifestyle in 2000, then returned in 2020 as a low-top suede version, the one known as the OG.
Here, the suede upper adopts a dense, saturated New Navy. The Formstrip, also in suede, stands out in Warm White, a slightly creamy warm white, echoed on the slim rubber sole. The profile remains what it has always been: low, tapered, arched, with that flat sole that gives you the feeling of sensing the pedal under your foot. Are you looking for the pair that goes with joggers in the morning and tailored trousers in the evening? This is the one.
Compared to the red or black Speedcats linked to the colors of historic racing teams, this navy version plays a dressier, almost preppy card. Two complementary readings of the same legend. Puma recalls that the model was designed by Martin Gänsler with designer Rudi Hieblinger, inspired by the shoe worn by Stefan Bellof in the mid-80s. A heavy heritage for such a lightweight pair.
