Founded in 1980 by Shawn Stussy in Laguna Beach, the label has spent four decades recycling American imagery (ads, workshop logos, surf culture) to bring it into streetwear. This Built Tough Tee is a perfect example, with its slogan borrowed from the vocabulary of old workwear advertisements.
On the chest, the Stussy logo is accompanied by the mention "Built Tough." On the back, the visual that makes the piece unique: a teddy bear and the inscription "Built Tough Since 1980," a nod to the brand's birth year.
