On was born in Zurich in 2010. Olivier Bernhard, a former professional triathlete, was looking for a different running sensation and cut up a garden hose to glue under a sole. The idea became CloudTec, those hollow cells that compress on impact and then lock for push-off. Since then, the brand has grown quickly, Roger Federer joined as a shareholder in 2019, and the collaboration with Loewe took On out of the world of running and placed it into fashion.
