The adidas BW Army Decon White Gum takes the classic German military shoe and gives it a deconstructed treatment. The base is still the BW Army, adidas' version of the 70s German Army Trainer, a low-profile silhouette that has become a staple of minimalist wardrobes. Except here, everything is lightened.
The principle of the Decon: a deconstructed build, raw, almost frayed edges, and above all, a flexible heel that collapses. In practice, the pair can be worn closed like a classic sneaker, or with the heel folded down like a mule when it's hot (the famous two-in-one). An idea already seen on the Samba Decon, which works just as well here. The upper retains the leather and suede toe overlays, faithful to the original model, in a lighter and more summery execution.
The Cloud White colorway features a full monochrome look, all white, warmed by the gum sole. A small detail for connoisseurs: the sole displays "BW-Sport 265" instead of the usual adidas branding, a nod to the model's military DNA.
