The ASICS Gel-Sekiran Bright Rose Pure Silver doesn't come out of nowhere. The Gel-Sekiran is a silhouette designed from ASICS' running archives: components inherited from the Gel-Nimbus 13, an upper structure borrowed from the Gel-Cumulus 12 and 17, and the midsole from the same Cumulus 17 underneath. It's not a classic retro. It's a new construction built from proven parts.
The Bright Rose Pure Silver colorway doesn't play it safe. The main mesh is draped in a bold rosy red, the Pure Silver overlays adorn the side panels and ASICS stripes, and orange touches cut through the whole thing with a precision that avoids chaos. The sculpted profile of the midsole and the abstract panels on the sides place the silhouette between two eras, somewhere between the technical runners of the early 2000s and the current lifestyle scene.
