New Balance 471 Junya Watanabe MAN Black is the first general public release of a silhouette that New Balance and Junya Watanabe MAN unveiled together during Paris Fashion Week in January 2025. The 471 is presented as a 1970s running model. Not a remake of a catalog star, but rather an archival piece.
Black dominates, on a textile upper lined with leather and suede reinforcements. The lateral N is in leather, the designer's logo is visible on the heel, and the tongue keeps only the small NB. Touches of beige and cream lighten the look, and the rubber sole remains low, in the spirit of the running shoes of that era.
