New Balance 5030 Moonrock Black takes the fluid lines of the 530 and pushes them toward a distinctly more futuristic design. The official colorway name is Raincloud / Black Metallic: a light mineral gray set against a black sole, and nothing else.
The upper is made of quilted synthetic material, almost seamless, with embossed darker gray lines running along the sides. The large N is not stitched, but printed. Underfoot, an Abzorb midsole is extended by clearly visible Abzorb SBS pods at the heel, all resting on a rubber outsole. This light gray on black contrast gives this 5030 a look that is both technical and clean.
