Nike Air Max 1000.2 Black Glacier Blue is the sequel to the Air Max 1000, the first large-scale 3D-printed Nike shoe created with Zellerfeld. The concept remains the same: a single-piece, laceless shoe where the upper, midsole, and outsole are produced directly from a printer. Behind it lies a reimagined Air Max 1 from 1987.
What changes with the 1000.2: the outsole has been redesigned with thinner lugs that are faster to print, without affecting the cushioning. On the upper, there are textured wavy sections at the toe, heel, and sides, a smoother overlay on the instep, and the Air Max 1 mudguard molded into the material. Everything is black, including the Swooshes. The only pop of color is hidden in the heel's Air bubble, tinted glacier blue and marked AIRMAX 1000.2.
The orange Future Bowerman box and custom tissue paper are part of the package. Released via a Zellerfeld raffle and then on SNKRS, following the inaugural black colorway. It is an avant-garde shoe, and that is precisely what makes it interesting: you are wearing a piece of what Nike is preparing for the future.
