Nike Air Zoom Pegasus Premium Year of the Horse is the most obvious pair in Nike’s 2026 Lunar New Year pack. A winged horse to celebrate the Year of the Horse: the connection was written in the stars, and the brand embraces it by celebrating, in its own words, the strength, freedom, and galloping energy associated with the animal.
The Pegasus Premium, launched in early 2025, is the most technically advanced Pegasus yet: the first full-length visible Air Zoom unit, sculpted to follow the heel-to-toe transition, combined with ZoomX and ReactX foams (the former for bounce, the latter in the heel for stability). Here, the engineered mesh upper comes in Pencil Point / Sail / Phantom / Anthracite, a slightly greyish off-white, almost like a sketch, which the anthracite helps to structure.
The real highlight is the asymmetry. Each shoe is the inverted reflection of the other: light and dark zones are swapped from one foot to the other. The Swoosh features ornamental patterns, the classic heel pull tab is replaced by a small wing, and the heel sports the brand's signature, “soaring free since 1972.” Subtle details. You notice them at second glance, and that is exactly what distinguishes this edition from a standard Pegasus Premium.
