Nike Ja 4 Nightmare is the launch colorway of Ja Morant's fourth signature shoe. The name comes directly from Nike: becoming a defender's worst nightmare. Those who have seen Ja pull off a crossover understand the idea.
The Ja 4 debuts the JA-Frame, a TPU frame that wraps around the foot and holds it in place during changes of direction. The vertical Swoosh outlines the JA monogram on the side. The outer shell is covered in triangular patterns, the lacing is cut asymmetrically, and the heel is molded. As for colors: an obsidian base (a very deep midnight blue) with black, Voltage Green, and metallic silver, plus multicolored touches on the medial A patch.
Underfoot, there is Cushlon 3.0 foam, an SPRPWR supercritical foam insole, and Flow foam ridges on the sides. The sole repeats the number 12, his jersey number, and bears the phrase: If you're down there, you're in the way. A performance shoe that looks great and wears just as well off the court.
