Puma Speedcat Wedge Beige (W) reprend la ligne de la chaussure de pilote et y glisse un talon compensé invisible. De l'extérieur, la silhouette reste celle de la Speedcat : fine, effilée, avec le Formstrip sur le flanc. En dessous, une semelle compensée en IMEVA gagne quelques centimètres sans se faire remarquer. Une bride à scratch vient se superposer au laçage et donne à la paire son côté ballerine sportive.
Le coloris est officiellement nommé Sand Dune et Alpine Snow, soit un beige sable sur toute la tige en cuir et des détails blanc cassé. Le ton sur ton adoucit encore la forme. Puma décrit ce modèle comme une « relecture moderne » de la Speedcat, et la presse sneaker l'a présenté comme la déclinaison la plus mode d'une silhouette déjà très portée cette saison.
Le beige a un vrai avantage : il s'accorde avec tout, du jean clair au pantalon noir en passant par la jupe longue en denim. La Wedge apporte de la hauteur à celles qui n'aiment pas les grosses semelles, et le scratch la rend facile à enfiler. On la conseille avec un pantalon un peu court ou un ourlet roulé, pour montrer la ligne.
